Fit for work

This rule applies to everyone on a Queensland Urban Utilities worksite, regardless of whether they work for us or not, and it means that we:

• are always physically prepared and capable of performing our duties,
• never work beyond our normal working hours without approval,
• do not turn up for work while under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances,
• inform a Queensland Urban Utilities Leader if our performance is impaired by prescribed or over-the-counter medications,
• never risk our safety, or that of others, by working while fatigued,
• only complete workplace tasks or activities if we are licenced, trained, competent, fit  and physically capable enough to do so,
• report all breaches of our fatigue management standards, including any instances where we are asked to breach these.
